No Limits Adaptive Paddling classes and events enable people with physical disabilities to participate in recreational activities and competitive outrigger canoeing events.
Created by the Australian Outrigger Canoe Racing Association (AOCRA) and lead by the Mooloolaba Outrigger Canoe Club, whose president is our own director Ron Grabbe, the club now has a group of men and women paddling and training on a regular basis.
Many have transferred across from other sports such as road racing, tennis, swimming and basketball. Those who have been bitten by the bug, are now coming along for recreational sessions which also includes joining the Novice paddlers in team boats on Sunday mornings on the open ocean.
Physical disabilities can range greatly – from vision and hearing impaired to wheelchair athletes. Everyone is welcome. There really are NO LIMITS for these extraordinary and inspiring athletes.
